Graduate Advising

  • Experimental Politics WorkshopIn 2014, Noam Lupu and I started EPW as a venue for students and faculty to get feedback on experimental designs before they were fielded, as well as to host speakers and workshops on issues related to ethics, experiments and design.In 2020, Adeline Lo joined as a co-organizer of EPW and the two of us inaugurated an annual grant competition, which has given out 39 grants over the last six years totaling around $20,000. That competition has funded studies that have landed in dissertations as well as published articles in the American Journal of Political Science, Comparative Political Studies and Communication Research.
  • How to Ask Questions, Discuss, Review and Provide Feedback (A Guide)Adeline Lo and I wrote a short guide to help prepare students who might serve as a discussant at workshops or conferences.
